IFS Renderer is a program which renders fractals as 3D point clouds. Essentially every fractal (Mandelbrot, the triangle one, etc.) is a function that gets iterated over and over again refining the shape of the fractal. IFS lets you mix functions with a whole library of fractal equations, and have them loop in very interesting ways to make lots of cool things; like abstract art, nebulas, quantum-style effects, and more.
Because the program is really weird, it's difficult to make an exact effect, but it makes up for that by having almost every project result in something cool.
For my take on the Meridian wormhole, it's an amalgamation of spherical, Möbius, and horseshoe fractals, animated by keyframing scales and rotations of some of those parent fractals.
